A Legacy Rebuilt for a Faster Market

Founded in 1987, Johnson Capital built its reputation as a West Coast commercial real estate debt advisory business. The firm relaunched independently in 2025 with a proprietary technology layer designed to improve the speed and efficiency of the advisory process while preserving the relationship-driven approach that established its name.

“Our focus is on navigating complex CRE debt structures and connecting capital providers with opportunities that make sense for all parties,” said Morgan Johnson of Johnson Capital.

Institutional Execution for the Middle Market

Johnson Capital advises owners, developers, and sponsors on debt and equity structures across multifamily, self-storage, industrial, hotel, retail, office, medical office, mobile home, IOS, land, and credit transactions, including HUD/FHA and agency, permanent, bridge, construction, mezzanine, and preferred equity financing. The firm focuses on transactions from $5 million to more than $100 million, with a historical concentration in the Western United States and capital markets relationships that extend nationally.

What Comes Next

The firm plans to keep developing its internal technology and operating infrastructure, with the goal of completing more of the financing process in hours rather than weeks, and to grow its team around execution capability rather than adding headcount for its own sake.
